Position Overview:
The Video Director will be responsible for leading the creative and technical direction of corporate video projects, from concept development and storyboarding to production and post-production. This role requires a combination of creativity, leadership, and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in directing corporate videos, with a keen understanding of brand storytelling, audience engagement, and visual composition.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Direction:
Lead the end-to-end production of corporate video projects, from initial concept development to final delivery.
Collaborate with clients to understand project objectives, brand guidelines, and creative vision, translating these into compelling visual stories.
Direct and manage production teams, including camera operators, sound engineers, editors, and freelance crew, ensuring the creative vision is effectively communicated and achieved.
Creative Development:
Develop innovative and effective storytelling concepts tailored to each client's goals and audience.
Create storyboards, shot lists, and production plans that align with project requirements and timelines.
Ensure brand alignment and visual consistency in all corporate video content.
Technical Oversight & Quality Control:
Oversee all aspects of production, including lighting, camera work, sound, and set design, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Review and approve all edits and visual effects, ensuring continuity, pacing, and brand alignment in the final product.
Provide creative feedback and direction during post-production to achieve the desired narrative and visual style.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the production process, maintaining effective communication and managing expectations.
Present ideas, storyboards, and project updates to clients, ensuring their vision and goals are aligned with the production’s creative approach.
Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing team to support client acquisition and enhance the client experience.
Budget & Timeline Management:
Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and on schedule.
Coordinate with project management to maintain timelines and ensure all milestones and deliverables are met.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in video production
Technical Skills: Proficiency in video production techniques, including camera operation, lighting, sound, and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar) - general knowledge will do.
Creative Vision: Strong visual storytelling skills with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality corporate video work.
Leadership & Communication: Proven leadership ability to guide production teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills and experience managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with live-streaming corporate events or multi-camera setups.
Knowledge of branding and marketing principles.
Familiarity with motion graphics and animation.
