Producer & Business Development Lead (Malaysia)
Full-time, Kuala Lumpur / Klang Valley
Vicinity Studio is a Singapore creative production house making video, content and campaigns for government, corporate and brand clients. We're building our presence in Malaysia and are looking for someone to grow it with us: a producer who can win the work and then deliver it.
What you'll do
- Build and grow Vicinity's client base in Malaysia, including brands, agencies, corporates and government-linked organisations.
- Lead pitches, scope projects and prepare proposals, quotations and budgets.
- Produce projects from brief to delivery, covering pre-production, shoots, post-production and client handover.
- Hire and manage local crew, freelancers and vendors, and keep projects on time and on budget.
- Be the main point of contact for Malaysian clients and keep in step with our Singapore team.
- Spot new opportunities with existing clients and turn them into repeat business.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in video or content production, including producer-level experience running projects end to end.
- A track record of client-facing work, such as pitching, account management or business development.
- A strong network across Malaysia's production, agency and corporate scene.
- Good commercial sense, with comfort setting budgets, negotiating and closing deals.
- Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a plus.
- Experience with post-production, virtual production or newer content formats is a bonus.
