Location: Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Eligibility: Open to Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents only
Vicinity Studio is a regional video production agency with operations in Singapore and Malaysia, working across corporate films, branded content, documentaries, and large-scale event productions.
We believe in using storytelling to inspire, empower, and build meaningful connections within communities. Our work spans government agencies, corporates, educational institutions, and purpose-driven organisations across Southeast Asia.
As our Malaysia operations continue to grow, we are looking for a Post Producer to anchor and manage post-production workflows from our Kota Damansara office, working closely with both local and regional teams.
The Post Producer plays a critical role in ensuring that all post-production work is delivered on time, on brief, and to a high creative standard. This role acts as the key bridge between clients, producers, editors, and motion designers, translating creative intent into clear post-production execution.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing post-production processes, while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and upholding Vicinity Studio’s quality and workflow standards.
This is a hands-on coordination and management role, not a purely editing role—though basic technical understanding of post-production is required.
Oversee end-to-end post-production workflows across multiple projects.
Coordinate editing, colour grading, sound design, subtitles, motion graphics, and final delivery.
Ensure deliverables meet technical, creative, and brand requirements.
Track post-production schedules, milestones, and deadlines.
Act as the primary point of contact for post-production-related client communications.
Translate client feedback into clear, actionable notes for the post-production team.
Manage revision rounds and expectations professionally and diplomatically.
Support producers in client presentations, feedback calls, and approvals.
Work closely with editors, motion designers, sound designers, and freelancers.
Allocate tasks and manage workloads to ensure efficiency and quality.
Flag risks, bottlenecks, or timeline issues early and propose solutions.
Maintain consistency in workflows, naming conventions, and delivery standards.
Perform quality checks on all outputs before client delivery.
Ensure files are delivered in the correct formats, resolutions, and platforms.
Maintain proper version control and archival practices.
Assist in improving post-production workflows and documentation.
Support regional collaboration between Singapore and Malaysia teams.
Contribute to building scalable systems as the Malaysia team grows.
Malaysian citizen or Permanent Resident (this role is not open to relocation or visa sponsorship).
Experience in post-production, video production, or media production environments.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with video post-production workflows.
Basic experience with editing software such as:
Adobe Premiere Pro
DaVinci Resolve
After Effects (basic understanding)
Understanding of video formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and delivery standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field.
Experience working with agencies or production houses.
Experience handling corporate, branded, or event-based video projects.
Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (Google Drive, Frame.io, etc.).
Someone who is structured, calm under pressure, and highly organised.
A strong communicator who can balance client needs with creative realities.
A team player who values collaboration, respect, and shared ownership of work.
Someone eager to grow with a fast-moving regional creative company.
Opportunity to work on regional and high-impact projects.
A collaborative and supportive team culture.
Clear exposure to both creative and operational sides of production.
Career growth as Vicinity Studio’s Malaysia operations expand.
Competitive salary based on experience.
